Berlin is, after Hamburg, my second home back to my times as a young professional. As soon as I breathe the air, I feel like ready for another avant-garde adventure.

For our foto-shooting, we discovered a more serene and established side of the city. Grown-up, unrebellious and in an elegant ambience, the "Schlosshotel Grunewald" was our location to be. It was the first time that I met the Fashion Photographer Marco di Filippo and his partner Trine-Marie. He is from Italy, and we warmed up quickly with an Espresso and a concept plan for the day.

It is vital for foto shootings that one has a good vibe and shares the same artistic wavelength. I felt immediately confident with Marco, and so our work started easy and in a joyful spirit. The location was simply great.

For the studio part of the shooting, we took a large room on the Ground Floor, where Marco built up his equipment.

The team loved to work with the vibrant colours of the silk, and so the briefing was more intuitively and soft guidance. Model Kajsa Stina was from Norway and had already many shootings with international magazines. Her natural colours of beauty had a coolish tint: A light skin colour with a beautiful natural glow, blue eyes like the water of the Norwegian Fjords. Trine Marie put these characteristics into a perfect match with the warm, intense tones of the silk which we wanted to channel.

Many creatives know and appreciate "the flow". Once you have a project, the flow of creation starts. Time is flying, and Scenes are changing. It was intense and excellent teamwork with Marco, Trine Marie and Kajsa.

We had one part of the shooting as studio-work inside the Schlosshotel, and another part, which was shot in the marvellous room's decor of the castle. This second part of the shooting was a special project, which I will discuss in the next blog:
